Now
I currently work as an Assistant Professor of Music at Aalborg University.
My research focuses on social and technological tools for creative musical practice. I also teach a bunch of classes at bachelor’s and graduate level, including Music and Sound Programming, Qualitative Methods, Music and Innovation, Improvisation and Interactivity, and much more.
I’ve recently published two books that you are welcome to check out:
Komposition og lydproduktion med SuperCollider Link to heading
Free E-book in Danish on how to make music with code, using the awesome SuperCollider platform. The book can also be read online with sound examples at sc.anderseskildsen.eu.
Soundpainting: Collaborative Creativity in Conducted Improvisation Link to heading
The first research book about Soundpainting, a universal sign language for real time composition. The book contains my analysis of how you can make interesting, improvised music with an ensemble of musicians by waving your hands and performing gestures.
