How this site is made, and the work by others that it uses.

Built with

I build the site with Astro, and the interactive parts with Svelte. Code blocks are highlighted with rehype-pretty-code, and the audio players use wavesurfer.js. The site is hosted on GitLab Pages. I count visits with Umami, which sets no cookies.

Type

The text is set in Jost by Owen Earl, and the code and labels in Fira Code by Nikita Prokopov. Both fonts are under the SIL Open Font License and come from Google Fonts.

Images

The watercolour on the front page and the colours of the site come from my own generative sketches, made with p5.js and p5.brush. The field of marks beside the title cycles through drawings of code, sound and wood, each in a random mark, with a new sequence on each visit.
